Unbounded Beauty, Spotlight on Nature, Adventurous Sky, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Pretty in Pink card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Unbounded Beauty" 12" x 12" package. I cut the strip 4-1/4" x 1" and the larger piece 3" x 4-3/4".

Then I cut the Basic White pieces for the layers. The strip was cut at 4-1/4" x 1-1/4" and the larger piece was cut at 3-1/4" x 5".  I taped the layers together.

The strip was taped to the front of the card. I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it. If you would like it perfectly centered you can tape it about 2-1/16" from the top edge. That should get you a lot closer than I did but by looking at mine it looks centered.

Next I stamped the flowers from the "Spotlight on Nature" bundle using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. Then it was cut using a die from the bundle.  Another die in the bundle was used for the Pretty in Pink layer behind the flower layer.

The flowers were colored in using Pretty in Pink ink on a Blender pen. I don't own the Blends pens in that color and I don't own markers in that color so I just used my Blender pen. Another option would be to make a mask/stencil and use a blending brush and scrub on some Pretty in Pink ink. The leaves were colored in using my light Granny Apple Green Blends pen. The piece was taped to the Pretty in Pink circle. Dimensionals were added to the back of that circle and it was set aside.

The words are from the "Adventurous Sky" and were stamped using black Memento ink in a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I used the die from "Cheerful Daisies" bundle to cut the word piece.

To finish assembling the card, I set the rectangle piece in place making equal space from the top, left side and bottom. It's about 1/4" on the three sides.

The circle was set in place next. It's about 1" from the top of the Basic White layer on the rectangle and 1-1/4" from the bottom of that same layer and 1/4" on the sides.

The words were set in place with a Dimensional on the right and tape on the left. And the card was done!

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make. I like this layout.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

That dsp is beautiful. Love the layout of your card and that stamp. I've been trying to avoid ordering it.
