Thoughtful Wishes, Stylish Shapes, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have an elegant looking card to share with you that is very easy to make. Please read on to see how I made the card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and added the lines using my scoring board. The side showing is the backside of the scoring. When you score the lines dip inward, when you turn it over the lines feel bumpy. The bumpy side is the side you want to show on your card. I added Dimensionals to the back of the piece and set it in place on the front of the card base.

Next I cut my squares from Basic White card stock. I used the dies from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I used the largest square for the solid piece and I used the smallest and second smallest dies for the framed square.

The "thanks" was added next, it's from the "Thoughtful Wishes" bundle. I stamped them using black Memento ink. Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece and it was set in place on the front of the card, centering it as much as I could by eyeing it.

I cut the floral piece from the "Thoughtful Wishes" bundle using Basic White card stock. I colored in the piece using my Highland Heather light and dark Blends Pen and my light and dark Mossy Meadow Blends pen. I trimmed up some Dimensionals and added them to the back of the frame.

I slipped the floral piece into the square frame and removed one of the protective pieces on the Dimensional at the bottom edge to the stem could stick to it. Then I added a little bit of glue to more solid pieces that are touching the front of the frame.

The rest of the Dimensional coverings were removed and the frame was centered on the square and the card was done.

I think this would make a pretty wedding card too! This was a fun card to make, it was very quick and so simple to make. And it's got an elegant look!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,
Wanda
