The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Crushed Curry card stock and textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. I glued this piece to the front of the card.
The Designer Series Paper (DPS) is from the "Thoughtful Journey" 6" x 6" package. I cut three strips at 1" x 4" and I taped them to a piece of Basic White card stock that measures 3-1/4" x 4-1/4". I glued this to the front of the card centering it as much as I could. I tried to keep equal distance on each side and the top.
The words are from the "Unbounded Love" bundle and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. I cut them out using the third rectangle in the "Stylish Shapes" die set. I cut a Crushed Curry piece using the second largest rectangle. I taped the rectangles together. Dimensionals were added to the back. I set the words in place on the front of the card and the card was done.
Another super quick and easy card to make and it had strips. I'm trying to work with strips more because there's lots of scraps to use up and I need to practice with them more. I don't feel I'm that great with them but the more I'm doing them the easier and less intimidating it is getting.
I have to say that this is one of my favorite designs in the "Thoughtful Journey" stack.
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
