Cheerful Daisies, Countryside Corners, Adventurous Sky, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. As I was looking on Pinterest I spotted a fun card to make in a group of three.  You can see that pin here.  Please read on to see how I made the card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Fresh Freesia card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

On the front I cut a 3-5/8" x 4-7/8" piece of Basic White was cut for the bottom layer. On top of that is a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Basic White card stock that was textured using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. I glued the two pieces together.

Next, using the third largest die in the "Countryside Corners" set, I cut a Basic White piece. I also used this die to cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Unbounded Beauty" 12" x 12" package. It's about 1-1/2" tall.  I taped this piece to the Basic White die cut piece, being careful to match the edges.

The flower pieces were cut next. I used Basic White for the pieces, except for the ferny looking piece, that was cut using Granny Apple Green card stock. You can always cut it from Basic White too and use a Blender pen to color it in.

For the layer behind the die cut piece, I cut a piece of Fresh Freesia card stock that measures 2-1/2" x 4-1/16".  I taped the pieces together and then trimmed the corners. I just used a scissors but you can use a paper cutter if you like.

The words are from the "Adventurous Sky" bundle. I stamped then using black Memento ink and I trimmed the piece to about 3/8" wide by 2-1/4" long.

Now let's assemble the rest of the card. I glued the stem on first. You can use tape if you like. The leaf was taped on next. I ran my tape runner across the back of the leaf and let the tape web over the opening. I set the leaf in place. I tried to match up the stem of the leaf with the bump on the large stem. Then I put the center piece of the leaf back in place. The tape that webbed across it will hold that center piece in place.

The flower was assembled. There's three pieces to it, a larger flat bottom layer piece, the piece in the middle has the flower center on it which was stamped using an image from the "Cheerful Daises" bundle with Fresh Freesia ink. And then the top small detailed piece. Once the flower was put together I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on top of the stem.

The greenery was added next. I cut the pieces off because it's all one piece and it needs to be spread apart a bit so cutting it was the only way to go.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the "Countryside Corners" piece and it was set in place on the front of the card. I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.

Dimensionals were added to the word piece and it was set in place on the front of the card across the line where the DSP is.

A bow was tied and set in place with a couple of small glue dots. And that was it.

This was a very fun card to make. It's got lots of pieces but it was worth it. I do like how it turned out.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

Love your card with the daisy! It's a fun layout and the embossing is a wonderful addition for texture!
