Unbounded Love, Simply Said, Thoughtful Wishes, Thoughtful Journey, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thank you card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Mossy Meadow card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut and taped a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Misty Moonlight card stock for the layer to the front of the card. On top of that is a 3-3/4' x 5" piece of Basic White card stock that was textured using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. I glued that to the Misty Moonlight piece. 

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Thoughtful Journey" 6" x 6" stack.  I cut a 2" piece off the right side of this design. I trimmed it down to measure 4-1/4" long. I taped it to a 2-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Misty Moonlight. 

I used the scraps from trimming the top of the piece of DSP and taped them to the right side of the layer. 

A piece of linen thread was tied around the panel and a bow was tied in the front. Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece, including the strips of DSP that were sticking out on the right side and the piece was set in place on the left side of the card, lining it up by eyeing it.  It's about 5/8" from the edges of the Mossy Meadow card base.

I cut a floral stemmed image from the "Thoughtful Wishes" bundle using Basic White card stock. I colored it in using my Blends pens. I used both light and dark Fresh Freesia for the flowers and dark Mossy Meadow for the stems. I slipped this piece under the linen piece and I added a little bit of glue to the flowers and the bottom of the stem plus anything that was sticking up. I had put a little bit of glue to a scrap piece of card stock and used a toothpick to add the glue to those small areas.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Mossy Meadow ink. I cut them using the die from the "Unbounded Love" bundle. I set them in place using a Dimensional on the right and tape on the left. 

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was taped to the inside and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. I especially liked coloring the flowering stem, it just added so much to the piece of DSP.
