Spotlight On Nature, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thank you card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a quarter-sheet of Gorgeous Grape card stock. It measures 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".

I cut a piece of Basic White card stock that measures 5-1/4 x 8". I folded it in half and taped it to the Gorgeous Grape base. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

A 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Perennial Lavender" 12" x 12" package. I taped that to the front of the Basic White piece.

The floral image is from the "Spotlight on Nature" bundle. I stamped them using black Memento ink. I colored in the flowers using my light and dark Highland Heather Blends pens and the leaves were colored in using my light and dark Granny Apple Green Blends pens. I was amazed at how quickly the coloring went. The image took care of the highlighting so you just color and you're done.

I stamped the words from the same bundle using black Memento ink. Then I cut the piece out using the dies that came with the bundle.

I also cut a Gorgeous Grape circle from the same bundle. The two circles were layered and Dimensionals were added to the back.

A piece of ribbon was going to be added but I decided to just cut a strip of Basic White card stock and glue it down instead. That card stock measures 1/4" x 5-1/8".  I glued it in place centering it as much as I could by eyeing it. The two circles layered piece was set in place and the card was done.

This was a super easy card to make and I just love the colors. I'd love to use my Highland Heather Blends pen more but it's not coloring right, I think it's drying up. I guess I need to order another one.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,
Wanda
