The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the inside.
The layers are as follows. The large background layer is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of "Wildly Flowering" Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the page.
The Basic White piece was cut next. It measures 4-1/4" x 2-1/4" and the Basic Black layer was cut at 4-1/2" x 2-1/2".
Next the Crumb Cake colored layer is a piece of DSP from the same package. It measures 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" and the Basic Black layer measures 2-3/4" x 2-3/4".
The top floral layer from the same package of DSP was cut at 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" and the Basic Black layer was cut at 2-3/4" x 2-3/4".
And then there's the little word layer. The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut the piece using the smallest stitched square from the "Stylish Shapes" die set. This piece measures 1" x 1" and I cut a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" piece of Basic Black for the layer.
All of the layers were taped together. Then they were taped in place on the front of the card. I taped the Basic White one first. It's about 1/2" from each edge and the bottom. Next was the Crumb Cake colored piece. I set it on top of the card and eyed it. The tips are just a hair above the edge of the big background layer. It's about 1/16" from the edge of the DSP. The floral DSP was added next. I lined it up using the Basic White piece. It's about 3/8" from the right and bottom edge of the Basic White piece. I just eyed it and measured it later.
And the words are added last. I lined the word piece up with the Crumb Cake layer, I just eyed it on the two sides. It's just a little over 1/4" in on the sides of the Crumb Cake layer. I set this piece in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.
This was a very fun card to make. Even though it has a lot of layers it went together pretty fast. I do like how it turned out.
Thank you for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship/thinking of you card,
Wanda
