The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the top layer. I used the third largest rectangle in the "Deckled Rectangles" die set. Then I put both pieces in the "Layered Florals" embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot. I'm saving the inside piece for a future card (maybe someday! LOL). Dimensionals were added to the frame and set aside.
Next I stamped the flower from the "Layers of Beauty" bundle. I used the matching stencil set and colored in the image using my Blending Brush and ink pads. The stencils are numbered so you can use them in order and get the perfect shading and blending. The colors I used are Bubble Bath, Petunia Pop and Berry Burst for stencils 1-3. And for the greenery I used Old Olive on both stencils 4 and 5. I cut the piece out using the matching die.
I set the frame on the front of the card base and laid the floral piece on top of that so I could see where the words would go. The words are from the "Layers of Beauty" set and were stamped using black Memento ink.
Once the words were done I set the frame in place. Dimensionals were added to the back of the floral piece and it was set in place on the front of the card. I did use some glue where the piece touched the frame.
After finishing it I thought the words would have looked better moved to the right, it seems a bit open there. But it is what it is and I do like how it turned out. It was a fun card to make and I REALLY like stenciling, I think it's a lot of fun.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's anniversary card,
Wanda
