Layers of Beauty, Anniversary Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a stenciled anniversary card to share with you. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. I glued that to the front of the card.

Next I stamped the flowers from the "Layers of Beauty" bundle. This bundle comes with stencils to make the coloring simple. The stencils are numbered so you can use them in order and get the perfect shading. The colors I used on mine were Bubble Bath, Petunia Pop and Berry Burst for stencils 1-3. And for the greenery I used Old Olive on both stencils 4 and 5.

Once the stenciling was done I cut the piece using the matching die. I didn't want my piece to take up the whole front of the card so I fussy cut a tiny flower and a cluster of smaller flowers. Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece and it was set in place on the right side of the card.

The words are from the same "Layers of Beauty" bundle and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Mossy Meadow ink. I wanted a darker green than Old Olive, even though there's no Mossy Meadow on the flowered piece.  I used the "Modern Oval" punch and punched out the words. I set them in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals. And the card was done. Some light pink embellishments would be pretty but I am sending this card in the mail and don't want to pay extra postage.

This was a fun card to make. I love stenciling and the end results make it look like you are great at blending!

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's anniversary card,
Wanda
