The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Daffodil Delight card stock for the layer.
On top of the Daffodil Delight card stock is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White that was textured using the "Distressed Foil" embossing folder. I glued that to the Daffodil Delight cards tock. Then those two were taped to the card base.
The flower from the "Enduring Beauty" bundle was stamped using black Memento ink. This bundle has matching stencils. You start with number one and move on numerically as you go. I started with Daffodil Delight ink for the flowers. The details on the flowers were done with the second stencil and Crushed Curry ink. The leaves were done using the third stencil and Old Olive ink. I also used Old Olive ink for the fourth stencil. I was pleased with the way it looked so I took the matching die and cut the piece out.
Dimensionals were added to the back and set aside until the words were done.
The words are from the "Adventurous Sky" bundle. I stamped them using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the matching die in the bundle. I snipped each end so they were equal. Small Dimensionals were added to the back and the card was ready to assemble.
I set the pieces on the front of the card for placement. Once they were where I thought they looked the best I set them in place by removing the backing on the Dimensionals.
A few (retired) "Genial Gems" were added to the card and the card was done.
I am amazed at how quickly stenciling is. You just grab your Blending Brushes and inks and have fun.
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
