Adventurous Sky, Simply Said, Take to the Sky, Masculine Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another masculine card to share with you. My stash of masculine cards is not looking good so I thought I'd take some time and make a few. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

Using the image from the "Adventurous Sky" bundle I stamped the background using Smoky Slate ink.

The Designer Series Paper is from the 'Take to the Sky" 12" x 12" package. I was using scraps to make my car. The upper left piece measures 2" x 2-3/4" and the Night of Navy layer behind it measures 2-1/8" x 2-7/8".  I taped the two pieces together and then taped it to the front of the upper left of the card about 1/4" from the fold and top edge. The plane DSP was cut at 2" x 4" and taped to a 2-1/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Night of Navy card stock. I taped the two layers together and then taped that to the front of the card. It's about 1" from the top edge and 1-1/8" from the fold.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Basic Black ink. I cut them out using the die from the "Labeled With Love" bundle. I also cut a Night of Navy piece for the back layer. I cut that piece in half and taped each half to the back of the word piece. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a very quick and simple card to make and I got to use up some scraps.  Actually my scraps were twice the size of these but they were to big and awkward to put on the front of the card but after cutting them in half they were perfect. I like how it turned out and I like how simple it was to make.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,
Wanda

Perfect masculine card! I like the background stamping and the two separate DSP designs. I have this stamp set so this card is perfect for the men in my life. Thank you for sharing your talent.
