Unbounded Love, Unbounded Beauty, Birthday Card, Birthday Card, Pocket Technique, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun "Pocket" card to share with you. It's a fun and easy technique. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" of Basic White card stock. I cut 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Unbounded Beauty" 12" x 12" package and I taped it to the card base.

I cut a 3" x 8" piece of DSP and folded it in half. This is the part that once opened you can write on. I taped this to a 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" piece of card stock, mine is Basic White. This is the piece that goes into the pocket. In the pic I forgot to add the 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" for the inside of the card.

The corner pocket piece is made with two squares. I ended up making two cards because of the pocket corners. Those pieces are cut at 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" for the layer and 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" for the top layer. The pieces are cut on the diagonal. Those pieces were taped together and then I glued the left and bottom edges to the front of the card.  Now the pocket is formed.

The words are from the "Unbound Love" bundle and were stamped using Berry Burst ink and then cut using the matching die. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set aside until the leaves were cut. I cut a Berry Burst one and a Petunia Pop one. I stuck them to the Dimensionals and then I set the word piece in place. And that was it. These are very simple cards to make and they don't take much time either.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
