Unbound Love, Wildly Flowering, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you using the "Unbound Love" bundle. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Misty Moonlight card stock and textured it using the "So Swirly" embossing folder. I glued it to the card base.

Next I took a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Wildly Flowering" 12" x 12" package. I die cut it using the die from the "Unbound Love" bundle. I used this die cut several times to get the layers I needed. I die cut a Moody Mauve piece first and then I die cut that same one again using Basic White card stock. I took the Basic White center piece and taped it to the Moody Mauve frame piece. I used small pieces of scotch tape on the back to hold it together. After making the card I realized I didn't need to tape it because I had glued the pieces to the Misty Moonlight piece. I wasn't sure if I was going to add Dimensionals to the back, that is why I taped it. The DSP piece was cut using a different die. It was taped to the Basic White center piece. And then all of these were taped to the front of the card on the lower right.

The words are from the same "Unbounded Love" and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using black Memento ink. I die cut that piece using the scalloped oval die from the same bundle. I used my craft blade to cut the word piece out of the stitched oval. I just followed the stitch marks when I cut it out.

I die cut a Moody Mauve piece using the same die and then taped the word piece to the center. Dimensionals were added to the back and the card was done.

I like how rich this card looks. It's too bad there isn't an oval die for the words but I never did check my oval punches to see if any of them would work. This was a fun card to make.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
