Thoughtful Journey, Thoughtful Journey, Sympathy Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a sympathy card to share with you. I was going to make a birthday card today but once I got the Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut it didn't have a birthday ring to it. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Boho Blue card stock and textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card.

The beautiful image is from the "Thoughtful Journey" 6" x 6" stack. I love these stacks, there's 48 sheets in it and all of them are just beautiful. I used the third largest die in the "Countryside Corners" set for the DSP and the second largest for the Mossy Meadow layer. I taped the layers together and then glued the piece to the front of the card lining up the left and top about 3/8" from those edges.

The words are from the "Unbounded Love" bundle and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. I cut them using the smallest stitched rectangle die from the "Nested Essentials" set. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.  And that was it, the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make and it definitely has a sympathy look to it and not birthday.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's sympathy card,
Wanda
