The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Petunia Pop card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. Yup, I changed the orientation of my card, a little step outside of my comfort zone! LOL
I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock for the layer.
Then I cut a 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of Peach Pie card stock for one of the top layers.
And the Designer Series Paper (DSP) on top of the Peach Pie piece was cut at 4-3/8" x 3-1/8".
I taped the two pieces together where the opening would be punched out. I used the third rectangle die in the "Nested Essentials" set and cut the two pieces together. Then I took the second rectangle, lined it up and then cut it out on the DSP piece. I forgot to mention the DSP is from the "Unbound Beauty" 12" x 12" package. I taped the DSP to the Peach Pie piece.
The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. I cut them out using the stitched circle from the "Stylish Shapes" set.
The flower is what I had cut off from yesterday's card. I took a 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" piece of Basic White card stock and scrubbed on some Petunia Pop ink using my Blending brush.
Turning the Peach Pie piece over, Dimensionals were added to the back around the opening. The 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" piece was set on top of the Dimensionals. Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece where the Peach Pie card stock is showing. Do not add Dimensionals to the Basic White piece or the whole thing will bulge in the middle. Once the Dimensionals were in place I added some snail tape to the back of the Basic White piece and I set the whole thing in place on the 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock. Then that was taped to the front of the card.
The flower was added to the inside of the opening using Dimensionals and the word piece was added using Dimensionals as well. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was added to the inside and the card was done.
I really like how this card turned out and was a bit surprised too. This is a fun layout. I sort of copied it from a layout that used circles that I've used for cards with small images. You can see one of those cards here. I think I may be using this layout again sometime.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda

What a fun kind of "peek a boo" card.
