Gone Fishing, Days to Remember, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a masculine birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I was using scraps from my "Gone Fishing" 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) package. The denim looking piece measures 3" x 4" and the Boho Blue layer behind it measures 3-1/4" x 4-1/4".  I taped the two pieces together and then taped it to the front of the left side of the card.

The fishing lures piece measures 2" x 3-3/4" and the Boho Blue layer behind it measures 2-1/4" x 4". I taped the layers together and then taped that to the front of the card. I left about the same amount of space between the layers and the bottom edge of the card. It's about the same distance at the top part of the card. I also centered it on the denim piece so it looks like there's equal amounts of denim showing on each side of this strip.

The words are from the "Days to Remember" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I punched them out using the "Double Oval" punch and using the same punch I punched out the scalloped oval. I taped the ovals together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.

This is a very quick and easy card to make and it's great to be using those pieces of DSP that are just sitting in the bottom of the package. I have SO much DSP that I know I will never use it all up.  But I'll use what I can when I can! At least I'm making an effort, right?

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,
Wanda
