Days to Remember, Flight & Airy, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the fright and the fold is on the bottom.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Painted" embossing folder. I glued that to the front of the card base.

The bird piece is from the "Flight & Airy" Designer Series Paper (DSP) 12" x 12" package that you can get for free from the Sale-a-Bration catalog with your qualifying order. Mine was a leftover piece from a previous project. It measured 4" x 2-1/4".  I cut a 4" x 2-1/2" piece of Boho Blue card stock for the layer behind it. I taped the DSP to the Boho Blue piece and then that was glued to the front of the card about 1-1/8" up from the bottom edge of the card.

The words are from the "Days to Remember" set and were stamped using black Memento ink and then punched out using the "Double Oval" punch. The Boho Blue scalloped oval was punched from the same punch. The two pieces were taped together and Dimensionals were added to the back. The piece was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This paper can be used for a number of other occasions such as sympathy, thinking of you, get well, friendship, and Mother's Day. I love versatile stamp sets and DSP!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

  1. The Flight & Airy dsp is just so pretty! I love the soft colors. You used one of my very favorite embossing folders. Great card!
