Dainty Delight, Days to Remember, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a sweet card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card here. The link does not provide any measurements so please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock, it opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was cut and taped to the front of the card.

I took a 4-1/2" x 1-1/2" piece of Bubble Bath card stock was colored using a mask from the "Artistic Mix" package. Using Bubble Bath ink I scrubbed on the color until I thought it was dark enough. It's hard to tell and it's pretty much a guessing game. I went over the area a number of times to make sure I got it colored.  I think it turned out well.

The original card used a piece of Basic Black card stock and I used Early Espresso because I thought the black was just too stark. The Early Espresso piece was cut at 2-1/2" x 5".

Next I die cut the vine piece from the "Dainty Delight" bundle using Crumb Cake card stock. I also die cut the flowers using Bubble Bath card stock and the flower centers using Basic White card stock. I glued the flower centers in place and set them aside.

The words are from the "Days to Remember" set and were stamped using Flirty Flamingo ink. I punched them out using the "Double Oval" punch and the Bubble Bath scalloped oval was made using the same punch. I taped the ovals together.

Now let's assemble the rest of the card. I took the Bubble Bath card stock and taped it to the left side of the card, leaving a 1/4" of the Basic White showing. Then the Early Espresso piece was set in place leaving an 1/8" of the Basic White showing.

I added a dot of glue to each leaf on the vine and set it in place on the Early Espresso piece.

The flowers were added next. The top and bottom one were added using a small Dimensional on each and the center one was added using a dot of glue.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the oval piece and it was set in place. I thought the piece could use a little bling and I saw the little package of "Brush Brass Butterflies" so I added three of them to the card and it just finished it off nicely.

This was a very quick and easy card to make, plus I love the colors.

Time to move on to a different stamp set. Though I could play with this bundle for a long time!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
