Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a gift card holder to share with you. It's pretty quick and easy to make. I was in need of just one more gift card holder but I didn't want to run to the store to get it. And then I remembered, I'm a crafter, I have the stuff (more than enough stuff) to make my own. So here I am. Please read on to see how it is made.
I have added a picture of the pattern in case my instructions are not clear. Cut your Designer Series Paper (DSP) or card stock at 4-1/2" x 5". Score or fold in half so it measures 2-1/2" x 4-1/2". With the fold on the right, place a mark on the fold 3-1/2" up from the bottom. And place a mark at 2" on the left edge. Cut the angle. Don't remove anything yet. On the inside piece, at the top mark center at 1-1/4". Mark 1/2" on the top left edge and 1/2" in from the fold. Mark 3/4" down from the top (on the left edge). Cut the angle. On the other side cut from the fold (where the piece was already cut) to the top where you will mark at 1/2" from the fold. Cut the angle. If you make a template using copier paper I would recommend folding the larger side in half (lengthwise) and cutting both corners at the same time. Then use this as a guide for more or future pockets. Glue the left side and the bottom. Punch a hole and add a hanging string if desired. And that's all there is to this. It's pretty quick and simple. And now I think I'm ready for Christmas!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's gift card holder,
Wanda
