Sending Cheer, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun card to share with you. Please read on to see how I made it.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Real Red card stock was cut for the layer. And the top Basic White layer measures 5-1/8" x 3-7/8". I textured it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I glued it to the Real Red layer and then I taped that to the card base.

Next I cut out the apron. I'm adding the measurements for that in the photo. I just took a piece of copier paper and folded it in half and cut it to my liking. After cutting it I took the measurements because I knew someone would be asking for it. So to save you some time in waiting for my response, the measurements are here and you're ready to go create! I used Real Red for the apron. I punched 4 holes in it, two on the top and two on the side. I used Baker's Twine for the ties.

Then I stamped the gingerbread man from the "Sending Cheer" bundle. I used Pecan Pie ink on Basic White card stock. I stamped the face using Craft White ink. I didn't like how light it was so I took a gel pen and colored in the eyes and mouth to make it brighter.  The Real Red hearts are from "Sending Cheer" bundle and were glued in place on the gingerbread man.

The words are from the "Sending Cheer" bundle and were stamped using Real Red ink. They were then die cut using the second smallest stitched rectangle in "Nested Essentials" die set. I didn't center the words so I would have a space for the holly leaves. Glue was added to the two sides and bottom of the rectangle and set in place on the apron.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the apron and it was set in place on the front of the card.

The gingerbread man was set in place in the pocket. A little bit of glue was added to the back of him.

Holly leaves and "berries" are from the "Loose Holly Gems & Sequins" container. I used mono glue to set them in place. And the card was done.

Isn't it a fun card? I had fun making it too.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
