Grassy Grove, Christmas Classics, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have an elegant looking Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of gold foil card stock for the layer. And on top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock that was textured using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I glued the Basic White textured piece to the gold foiled piece and set it aside to set up.

In the meantime I stamped the trees from the "Grassy Gove" bundle. I die cut the circle first using the second largest stitched circle die in the "Stylish Shapes" set. Then I stamped the trees using Basic Gray ink. I stamped them once in the center area then off to the side, without adding more ink. I inked up the image again and stamped to the left and then to the right without adding more ink. I used my heat tool to make sure the ink was dry before I stamped the trees again using Versa Mark ink twice. I embossed them with gold embossing powder. I glued the circle to the textured Basic White piece. Then I took some gold ribbon I had and wrapped it around the front of the card and taped the ends on the backside. I tied a bow and glued it in place. And the piece was then glued to the card base.

The words are from the "Christmas Classics" set and were stamped using Versa Mark ink and gold embossing powder. The Basic White word piece measures 2-1/2" x 1". The gold foil layer behind the word piece measures 2-3/4" x 1-1/4". I glued the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.

The "Merry" is from the same "Christmas Classics" set and was stamped on a 3/8" wide strip of Basic White card stock using Basic Gray ink. I snipped the ends so the piece measured 1" long. I added small Dimensionals to the back on the left and center and set it in place on top of the "Christmas"  layer.

I tied a bow with the same ribbon (Offray brand because I didn't have any gold Stampin' Up! ribbon) and glued it to the front of the card and the card was done.

I am pretty pleased at the way it turned out. I like the soft wintry look it has.
