Christmas Classics, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. I received this card in my email because I signed up for her mailing list. When I saw this card I knew I had to give it a try. She provides a video but towards the end the sound is gone and the image is blurry but I managed to get the piece made. Here's a link to her video. Please read on to see how I made this card. 

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Pebble Path card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock to the inside. Then I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I glued that to the front of the card base.

A 1-3/4" x 4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Winter Meadow" 12" x 12" package and it was glued to the Basic White textured piece. 

The square leafy boarder piece is from the "Christmas Classics" bundle and was die cut using Basic White card stock. The Blending Brush and Garden Green ink was used to scrub the color on. On the inside of that piece Blueberry Bushel ink was used. Then she had you take your Versa Mark and white embossing powder and add stamp some pine needles from the "Christmas Classics" stamp set. Then heat set the white. I could have added more pine needles images but there's white showing and it does look pretty.

"Deck the Halls" is from the same "Christmas Classics" set and were stamped using Versa Mark and heat set using white embossing powder. That piece was glued to the inside of the leafy square piece.

Two holly leaves were die cut using Basic White card stock and colored in using the Blending Brush. The berries were stamped using Pumpkin Pie ink and then the edges were touched on the Pecan Pie ink pad to give a two tone color look. They were die cut.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the square leafy piece. Then the holly leaves were set in place. I did trim the ends of the leaves a bit before gluing them in place. The berries were glued in place and the card was done. 

Isn't it pretty? Can you see why I just had to make it?
