Layering Leaves, Countryside Inn, Wedding Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today I thought I'd whip up a quick wedding card. This is a VERY quick card with minimal materials. Please read on to see how I made this card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 3" piece of Balmy Blue card stock for the layer. The Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Countryside Inn" 12" x 12" package was cut at 3-3/4" x 2-3/4".  Before taping the two pieces together I had die cut the scalloped layer from the center.

First I stamped the words from the "Layering Leaves" set using Night of Navy ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock.  Then I die cut the words using the third largest stitched circle from the "Stylish Shapes" die set. Then I die cut the scalloped circle from the "Layering Circles" die set that was a bit larger than the stitched circle. I taped the two circles together.

Next I taped the DSP to the Balmy Blue card stock. I taped that piece in place on the front of the card eyeing the left, top, and right sides so they looked even. You can measure if you like but I just eyed it. You'd need about 1/8" on all three sided.

Then I took the word circles and set them in place on the card using Dimensionals. I eyed it so it was center across the bottom edge of the DSP layer and I just eyed what I thought looked good for the up and down part.  There's more of the circle on the bottom than there is on the top.  And the card was done.

If I were to make another one, I would take a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and texture it. Then I would put the DSP layer and word piece on top. After doing that I would glue the piece in place on the card base. I just think the bottom looks like it could use some texture.

This was as super quick and easy card to make too. And with the amount of DSP that was used, you could use use up a lot of scraps making cards for various occasions.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's wedding card,
Wanda
