The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Let's Go Fishing" 12" x 12" package. It measured 1-3/4" x 5-1/2". I cut a piece of Mossy Meadows card stock for the layer. It measures 2" x 5-1/2". Then I cut another piece of DSP from the same package using a different image. That piece measured 1-3/4" x 3-1/2" and the Mossy Meadow layer was cut at 2" x 3-3/4".
The words are from the "Days to Remember" set and were stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock using Mossy Meadow ink. I die cut it using the 1-7/8" circle die from the "Layering Circles" set. I made sure the words were in the upper part of the circle. The layer behind it is die cut using the scalloped die from the same "Layering Circles" set and a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock.
The fish was fussy cut from another piece of DSP in the same package.
Now we are ready to assemble. I taped the layers together. The long Mossy Meadow layer was taped on the front of the card base about 1/2" from the fold.
The next layer was set in place using Dimensionals. It's about 1-1/2" from the folder and 3/4" from the top and 7/8" from the bottom. I just eyed it and it's close enough. You can adjust yours if you want it equal on the top and bottom.
The word layers piece was added next. I glued the left side to the DSP layer.
Then the fish was set in place using Dimensionals. And the card was done.
This was a very fun card to make and it didn't take long to make at all.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,
Wanda
