The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. A 3-3/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Crumb Cake card stock was cut for the front panel. On that panel I splattered Crumb Cake ink by flicking the tip of my marker on the edge of the cap.
The music symbols are from the "Enjoy the Rhythm" set and were stamped using Crumb Cake ink. I would stamp the image and then stamp it again without adding more ink. I repeated this 5 times down the card. I started stamped the music about 1" from the top of the panel to about 1" from the bottom of the panel. I didn't have the music image that was used on the original card so I used what I had and made it work. Kind of my motto for this year, "Make it work". And so far so good! I did look in the Stampin' Up! catalog and there is no current music background stamp so another reason for this working out the way it did! After stamping the music on, I taped the panel to the front of the card. I just eyed the sides to make them as equal as I could.
Now off to the die cutting. There's quite a few pieces here. First I die cut two sets of the flowers. They were offset a bit and a dot of glue was added to the centers. I set them aside to dry. In the meantime I die cut the flower centers. I used the same dies as I did for the flowers but I just caught the flower centers. I fussy cut around them and set them aside.
The leaves were cut using Soft Sea Foam card stock. The center pieces to the leaves were saved because they will be added to the card. I cut three sets of leaves.
Pecan Pie card stock was used for the ferny pieces, I cut three of them.
A double bow was tied using some linen thread.
The words are from the "Artistically Inked" set on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Pecan Pie ink. I cut the strip on the paper cutter and it measured about 3/8" wide and 4" long.
Time to assemble the card. The flowers were added first using a Dimensional on each one. The Pecan Pie ferny pieces were added next. Then the leaves were set in place. The tiny centers to those leaves were added.
The flower centers were added using Dimensionals.
Next the bow was glued in place and the words were set over them using Dimensionals. I added a small Dimensional to the right and left end and one in just under the "B" in birthday. I set that in place and the card was done.
This was such a fun card to make and I was thrilled that I was able to stamp the music on it to give it a birthday feel. So pretty and so fun!
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
I am really regretting that I did not purchase the daisy bundle.
