The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.
I cut a piece of Basic White card stock that is just a hair shorter of 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". Just short enough to slip it under the cover and not show on the edges but yet not show much on the inside either.
Next I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Countryside Inn" 12" x 12" package that I cut at 5-1/2" x 2". I taped this piece to the bottom of the quarter sheet of Basic White card stock. I set it aside.
I took the card base and stamped the dotted wave image using Boho Blue ink across the front of the card. Then I took the die cut from the bundle and lined up the die and cut the bottom part away.
The words were stamped next. I used Boho Blue ink and the words from the "Around the Bend" set.
Next I taped the quarter sheet of Basic White with the DSP attached to it to the backside of the cover. Now when you open the card you just see a solid white piece instead of a strip of DSP at the bottom and the card front on the upper part.
The flower was die cut using a scrap piece of Boho Blue card stock. And Granny Apple Green card stock for the two sets of leaves. I used Basic White for the flower center. And for the very center, I just took a tiny scrap piece of Basic White card stock and my Daffodil Delight marker and colored the piece. I glued it to the back of the Basic White flower and I glued that to the center of the Boho Blue flower. Dimensionals to the back and set the piece in place on the front of the card. I added a bit of glue to the ends of the leaf clusters and set them in place under the flower on the right side. And the card is done.
This was a very fun card to make. I liked making that wavy part and adding the flower. I just thought it was so cute when I set it in place!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
