The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.
I took a piece of Highland Heather card stock and used the "Deckled Rectangles die set to cut it out. And I did the same with a piece of Basic White card stock for the center layer. The Basic White layer was textured using the "Timeworn Type" embossing folder. I glued the Basic White card stock to the Highland Heather piece and then taped that to the card base.
Next I die cut the flower pieces from the "Pansy Patch" bundle using Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Crushed Curry for the flower. Granny Apple Green and Garden Green was used for the leaf. I glued the pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in the upper left corner of the two layered piece.
The words are from the "Lasting Joy" set and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Gorgeous Grape ink. It was then die cut using the ribbon ends die from the "Stylish Shapes" die set. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the lower right. And the card was done.
This was a fun card to make. It's got a very clean look to it. This card can be used for several other occasions.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
