The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder. I glued that piece to the front of the card.
Then I took the scalloped rectangle die from the "Color & Contour" bundle and die cut it from a piece of Basic White card stock. I set it aside.
Next I stamped the flowers using Moody Mauve ink. I stamped the outline image from the "Two-Tone Flora" set and for the solid part I inked it up with the Moddy Mauve ink and then stamped it off. I didn't like how light it was so I repeated that and it was a perfect blend. When I stamped off the first time the piece wasn't as solid as I would have liked it to be but repeating that gave it a more solid look plus a nice soft color. I colored the centers with my Daffodil Delight marker and I colored over the whole flower using my Wink of Stella pen.
The leaves are from the same "Two-Tone Flora" set and were stamped using Granny Apple Green ink. I die cut them at the same time I die cut the flowers. I laid the pieces on top of the scalloped rectangle to see where the words would be placed. The words are from the "Layering Leaves" set and were stamped using Moody Mauve ink.
I was now ready to assemble the card. I glued the scalloped rectangle piece in place and then began adding the flowers. I taped the bottom one in place but I didn't press down hard. I needed to make sure I could slip the leaves under it. I added a little bit of glue and then slipped the longer branch of leaves under it.
For the next flower I added Dimensioals to the back and then added the longer branch of leaves. I took the smaller leaves and I cut them apart. I glued the two bottom ones in place and then added the smaller one on top with a Dimensional. And the card was done. I did not add the colored pearls to mine. I am going to be mailing mine and I didn't want to pay the extra postage.
I just thought this was such a pretty card and even though I changed the color of mine, I like them both. This was a fun, quick and easy card to make. This is a very versatile card too, it can be used for a number of occasions.
Thank you SO very much for stopping by to see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda
Such a lovely card! I just received the Two-Tone Floral set in my last order and haven't inked it yet. Your card made me want to pull it out and use it!
