The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.
I die cut the four floral and leaf images in the "Timeless Arrangements" bundle, all out of vellum. I tore many of them as I was removing them from the inside of the die. UGH. I ended up using my stylus and sliding it under the vellum and slowly slide it along the die until I got it to the end where it was finally free. Once the pieces were out and whole, I colored them using my dark Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green Blends pens. Plus I left a coupe of them uncolored. These pieces are attached to a small rectangle that is glued to the back of the word piece.
The word piece is from the same set and was stamped using black Memento ink. Then it was die cut using a die from the same bundle. After it was die cut I began gluing the vellum pieces. I started with the uncolored ones but those should have been added last. But I managed to bring the colored ones forward. I used every piece I colored and filled in areas where I thought it was needed. It's a fun card and I found it on Pinterest. I changed the orientation and I added more pieces to it. You can see the original card here.
Once I got the pieces glued I decided it was all worth it because I did like how it turned out. I will set some heavy stuff on top of it to help set the die cut images down a bit, I think they are standing up a bit too high. I could add bits of glue here and there but that sounds like too much work, plus pressing it down overnight should take care of the issue!
I have to say your cards with the flowers are always my favorite. Beautiful card and such a pretty color of purple.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I watched a video yesterday using those dies. I'm going to "need" them!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing your talent and giving such detail info on how you made this card. I’m thinking of buying this bundle once it’s in stock. I love what you did.
