The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Melon Mambo for the base layer and a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White for the top layer.
I took the top layer and I used the heart type die from the "Happiness Abounds" bundle and I die cut it. Then I turned it over on my scoring board and at 1/4" I scored a line and then two more lines, next to each other on the board. The piece was taped to the Melon Mambo piece and then that was taped to the front of the card base.
The flowers were die cut from the "Hues of Happiness" Designer Series Paper (DSP) 12" x 12" package. The leaves were also die cut from the same DSP. Then they were added to the front of the card. I started with the one on the upper right, it was taped in place. Then the large center one was set in place using Dimensionals. The other two were added using Dimensionals and the leaves were tucked in with a bit of glue behind them.
The words are from the "Go to Greetings" set and were stamped using Melon Mambo ink. I cut the piece to fit around the words. It measured 2-1/8" x 3/4". The strip behind the words is a 1/2" x 3-1/4" strip of Melon Mambo card stock. I affixed it to the word piece. Then Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.
There's a few little flowers that were fussy cut from the floral sheet. They were added to the front of the card using a dot of glue And the card was done.
This was a fun card to make and I think it's pretty. It's for my sister's birthday and I think she will like it too.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
