The base of my card is a fold half-sheet of Soft Suede card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Mint Macaron card stock for the layer and on top of that is the 4" x 5-1/4" DSP from the "Fancy Flora" package. There's some very pretty papers in that stack. Before I taped the DSP to the Mint Macaron piece, I stamped the words from the "Framed Florets" set using Soft Suede ink. Then the pieces were taped together. I didn't have the Mint Macaron ribbon so I used some Soft Suede I had and it worked out just fine. It gave it a richer look, though a more colorful one would have been better. But I'm trying to use what I have. I tied the ribbon around the two layers and made a bow. My ribbon was too loose so I ended up turning it over and snipping the ribbon, pulling it tight and taping it down with scotch tape. I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on top of the card base.
A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was taped to the inside and the card was done.
So pretty. So quick. So easy!! And I used what I had to make it! It was also fun to make!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
