The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Balmy Blue. Before taping it down I die cut the scalloped circle from the "Layering Layers" die set.
Next I taped the "Petal Park" piece I had stamped the other day. It measured 3-7/8" x 5-1/8". I taped that to the Balmy Blue piece and then that was taped to the front of the card. I stamped the words from the "Beautifully Happy" set using Granny Apple Green ink.
I die cut a stitched circle from the "Stylish Shapes" die set and scrubbed on some Balmy Blue ink using my Blending Brush. Then I taped that circle to the scalloped circle. I set the circles in place using Dimensionals.
The turtle is from the "Playing in the Rain" set and was stamped using black Memento ink. Then I colored it in using Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake and Old Olive Blends Pens. I fussy cut him out and set it on top of the circles using Dimensionals.
I used a regular paper punch and punched out 4 circles of Daffodil Delight for the center of the flowers and the card was done.
I think it turned out well and it was nice to use that "Petal Park" piece in a different way.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda
This card is SO FUN......pulling the flowers and that turtle makes this one special card.
ReplyDeleteThat cute little turtle really does look cute on top of those flowers. It looks like he is holding one of them. :) Great fun card!
