The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Starry Sky card stock. I didn't have the same Designer Series Paper (DSP) so I used one that would work from the "Fitting Florets" 12" x 12" DSP package. I cut it at 4" x 5-1/4".
The Basic White panel in the middle cut at 2-1/2" x 5-1/4". And the Starry Night layer was cut at 2-3/4" x 5-1/2".
I stamped the flowers from the "Hand-Penned Petals" set using black Memento ink. I stamped the images using Blushing Bride ink and the corresponding stamps. And I stamped the leaves using Pear Pizzazz ink and the corresponding stamps. I colored the center of the flowers using my light Daffodil Delight Blends pen. Then I cut them out with the matching die cut.
The words are from the "Eden's Garden" set and were stamped using Starry Sky ink. I taped the Basic White panel to the Starry Night panel and then that was taped to the front of the card. I don't know if the words are better for a sympathy card or a friendship card. I suppose it could work for either.
I colored 3 pearls using my dark Powdered Pink Blends pen because I didn't have a Blushing Bride one. I'm not even sure there is a Blushing Bride set. But I made do with what I had. I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White to the inside of the card and the card was done.
This was a very quick card to make. It was simple too. I can see this being made into a card for many other occasions. It's a fun layout too.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's sympathy card,
Wanda
