The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.
The first thing I did was I die cut the background pieces using the flower die from the "Hand-Penned Moments" bundle. The die set is called "Penned Flowers" dies. I die cut 6 from the same die and I did use a double-sided sticky sheet behind the piece of Basic White card stock to make these into stickers. I really wasn't up to gluing all of those fine lines. But if you don't have the double-sided sticky sheets you can always put some glue down on a piece of waxed paper, parchment paper or you silicone mat and spread it thin. Then set the die on top and a piece of waxed paper on top of that to get the glue to press onto the die cut piece. Then set the piece in place on the front of your card. There's ways around most things! I have done this on many occasions. Once they were die cut I set them in place on the front of the card. I did avoid the center area because I knew I'd be covering it up with the ovals and words.
Once all the background pieces were in place, I die cut the larger oval frame and then the smaller oval frame. I saved the center of the larger one for my words.
The words are from the "Peaceful Moments" set and were stamped using black Memento ink.
I glued the larger oval frame in place. I just turned it over and ran my Tombow mono glue tip over the area and set it in place on the front of the card. I didn't allow much glue to come out so I didn't have an issue with it oozing out between the openings in that frame.
Next I glued the word piece in place, back inside the frame I just glued down.
The second smaller Basic White oval frame was set in place using Dimensionals.
I had die cut two branches and two small leaves using Basic White card stock and I glued them in place on the top oval. I centered the stem of the long branch one to the center of the larger oval. I added the small leaf and then a crystal rhinestone to finish off the frame.
A few smaller crystal rhinestones were added to the oval with the words and the card was done.
I'd like to share a tip with you when adding the sticky pieces. After adding them I heat them up with my embossing heat tool and press down. I have run across a few areas where the sticky part isn't so sticky and heating it up did the trick. So now I always heat up anything I stick down using the double-sided sheets and I never have any issues with it lifting.
This was a fun card to make and I think it would make a great wedding or anniversary card. I plan to use it this weekend as an anniversary card.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see todays' wedding/anniversary card,
Wanda
