Framed Favorites, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up! 2023 Spring Catalog

It's such a lovely sunny chilly day here in Minnesota that I thought a card with flowers would warm me up a bit. I found this card on Pinterest and thought I'd play with the layout and use some Designer Series Paper (DSP) scraps that I had on my worktable. You don't need much to make this card. This would be a perfect layout to make the bulk of your holiday cards. A sheet of snowflake DSP and some card stock and you're set. A 12" x 12" sheet would give you 25 cards. I may have to consider this layout in December. It's easy enough and it would take up the bulk of our holiday cards we send out.  You can see the original card here. Maybe you have some pieces of that DSP and you can use them up!

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock for the top layer. I set this piece aside for now but the words will go on later.

Next I cut the DSP at 1-1/8" x 1-1/8" and I cut four of them. The layer behind them is Granny Apple Green and was cut at 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" and of course you need four of them too.

The corners were clipped using the corner rounder. I have an old one that did the job. You clip two opposite corners on the DSP and the card stock.

The DSP was taped to the Granny Apple Green layers and Dimensionals were added to the back.

I set the four pieces on the front of the card to see how much room I would have for the words.

The words were stamped using Granny Apple Green ink and then the piece was taped to the front of the card.

Then the four pieces were set in place above the words and the card was done.

This was a very fun and easy card to make, plus it didn't take much time at all. This would be a great layout for a swap card too!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,
Wanda

Love the dsp you used for this fun card. I've done that a time or two with the squares and rounded corners. It really is a great way to use up some small scraps. I hate wasting any of the beautiful patterns of designer papers. (I follow Sue Campfield, too.)
