Awash in Beauty, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Today's card was a fun and quick card to make. I was planning on making a different card but I turned the card stock to the side and next thing I know I was creating my own card!  LOL  So here's how I made it:

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder. I glued it on the front of the card base.

Then I stamped the words on a piece of Basic White card stock. I set the lacy looking oval die over the area I wanted to stamp so I knew where the words would go because I needed them up higher in the oval so I could add the flowers. I stamped the words using Evening Evergreen ink. Then I die cut them using the lacy looking oval. Once die cut I glued the outer part of the oval, the lacy frame part onto the front of the card, trying to center it as much as I could by eyeing it. Then I glued the word piece in place.

Next I die cut the textured oval using Polished Pink card stock. I added Dimensionals on the back and set it in place on top of the lacy oval.

The flower is from the "Awash in Beauty" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I fussy cut the flower and the leaves. I set the flower in place on the oval with glue on the part where it touches the oval and Dimensionals on the upper part of the flower. Then the leaves were tucked in by added a little bit of glue to their backs and slipped under the flower.

Four crystal rhinestones were added to the large lacy oval and the card was done.

This is a very quick and easy card to make. I do like how it turned out.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda

Edited on 12-28-22 I mistakenly stated the flower was from "Fitting Florets" when it was actually from "Awash in Beauty?" I apologize for any confusion.

  3. The flower is from "Awash in Beauty" and not "Fitting Florets"
