The base of the card is a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Shaded Spruce card stock.
The Basic White piece measures 5" x 7-1/4" and is scored on the long side at 2-1/4" and 6". I glued the shorter piece on the sides to form the pocket.
The top strip of DSP from the "Santa Express" 12" x 12" package measures 4-3/4" x 2" and the bottom strip measures 4-3/4" x 1-1/2". Now I measured wrong on my DSP so the top color is on the bottom and the bottom colors is on the top, when compared by the original card. It still worked so a happy mistake.
Since I didn't have the dog stamp or die, I used words for the front of the card. They are from the "Framed & Festive" set and were stamped using Shaded Spruce ink. I die cut them with the second largest die from the "Stylish Shapes" die set. And the Shaded Spruce layer behind it was die cut using a die from the "Layering Circles" set that was just a little larger. I taped the two layers together and then set the circle in place on the front of the card. The circle hangs over the top flap so make sure you Dimensionals don't go over that area or your card will be stuck shut. And yes, I've done that before and was not happy with myself!!I should have put a gift card in the pocket but if you click on the photo you will be able to see the top edge of the pocket to see where the card goes.
This was a very fun card to make and a great way to use scraps to create a fabulous gift card holder. I need to make several more of these for Christmas. I like how this turned out and how quick and easy it was to make.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's gift card holder Christmas card,
