Framed & Festive, Painted Christmas, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up! 2022

I was looking through my Designer Series Papers and found this pretty pinecone one. I thought what a great card this would be for a single guy. It's a bit on the masculine side but yet it isn't! I just think the pinecones are SO pretty and I got to work on a card and this is what I came up with.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Evening Evergreen for the layer. Before I did anything else with this piece, I die cut a  2-7/16" circle from the center. I try to do this right away because once I get into the assembly mode I forget and then have to take a new piece of card stock to make the circle. It seems like such a waste.

Next I cut my 12" x 12" sheet of DSP from the "Painted Christmas" package. I cut it into 4" x 5-1/4" and then later trimmed it to 3-7/8" x 5-1/8".

The words are from the "Framed & Festive" set and were stamped using Evening Evergreen ink. I die cut them using the second largest stitched circle die from the "Stylish Shapes" die set. I taped the Basic White circle to the Evening Evergreen circle and then added Dimensionals to the back.

A 3-7/8" x 1-1/2" piece of Soft Succulent was cut for the bottom and then it was textured using the pine needle folder from the "Wintry 3D" embossing folder set. I glued the strip to the bottom of the DSP. 

I cut a 3-7/8" x 1/4" strip of Basic White card stock and glued it just above the Soft Succulent piece, making sure the edges match so there's no gap.

The pine cone DSP is taped to the Evening Evergreen piece and that piece is set in place on top of the card base using Dimensionals. 

Then the word piece is set in place and the card is done.

So quick, easy and simple.  Who doesn't need that this time of the year?  I made 8 like this and I think that about wraps up my Christmas cards to mail out! Maybe!! LOL
