The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Night of Navy card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the inside and then one for the outside.
Then I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Fitting Florets" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the Basic White piece and then I taped that to the front of the card.
Next I stamped the words. They are from the "Framed Florets" set and I used Night of Navy ink on Basic White card stock to do that. I die cut them with the die from the "Framed Florets" bundle. Then I die cut a Night of Navy one using that same die. I turned the Night of Navy die over and taped the oval back to it using scotch tape. I wanted to raise the piece up with Dimensionals and I wanted it to be more solid. I couldn't use Dimensionals on the outer edges because they are lacy and see through. I taped the word oval to the top of the Night of Navy oval and I set the piece in place on the front of the card.
I die cut two flowers from the same DSP and I also die cut a silver leaf branch using the die from the same set. I glued the bottom part of that die in place and then set the flowers on top using Dimensionals. I added the silver metallic pearls and the card was done.
I probably should have moved the leaves over a little so they didn't touch the "b" in birthday but you can still read it so I guess it's okay. I'm just being picky.
I think this card is pretty and that is why I had to make it when I saw it.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
LOVELY card Wanda.
