This card has a flat base. It's a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic Black card stock. The front flap part is cut at 2-1/4" x 5-1/2". It's folded in half and a 2" x 4" piece of Basic White card stock is added to the inside. You can stamp on it before adding it. I just left it blank, there's not a lot of room to write on a layout like this.
The front has a 2" x 4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Perfect Penciled" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the flap. Then I taped that flap piece to the the Basic Black base. It's about 1" from the left edge.
The flower is from the "Hues of Happiness" DSP and was die cut with the matching die. I also die cut a Basic Black piece to go behind it for stability. I set the flower on the front and I gently ran my fingernail over the back of it along the edge of the flap so I could see where not to add Dimensionals. I added the Dimensionals and set the piece in place on the front.
Leaves were die cut and set in place under the flower and the card was done.
It's a very quick and easy card to make. And I'm thinking that it's a great way to use up some of those strips of DSP I have. Though I think I would use the layout but not make the flap part. I'd just cut that front piece at 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" and use a folded half-sheet of Basic Black for the card.
This was a fun card to make! I can't wait to find some time to finish the last one.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's fun fold card,
Wanda

I'm just crazy about a black & white card ..... And your layout is SUPER!
Black and white cards with a touch of color are always a great combination. I especially using yellow or red on black and white cards. The flower from that set is gorgeous! I've been hoarding that paper because it is just so pretty.
