The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Garden Green card stock for the layer. I had die cut the scalloped circle before I taped it to the front of the card. I used the second largest scalloped circle die from the "Layering Circles" die set.
Next I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of DSP from the "Santa Express" package. I taped that on top of the Garden Green card stock.
Then I took my scraps and cut the red one at 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" and the tree with the packages was cut at 2" x 2-1/2". The Garden Green layer behind it was cut at 2-1/4" x 2-3/4". I taped the two pieces together.
The red piece was taped on the front of the card and then the tree and present layered piece next.
The words are from the "Snowman Magic" set and were stamped using Garden Green ink. I die cut them with the smallest circle die in the set and I taped the two circles together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card. A red crystal rhinestone was set on the bottom of the circle and the card was done. One of the fun things about Blends pens is you can color your crystal rhinestones any color you have. You can also use colored sharpie markers too. Though I have found a few of them to give off a strange tint.
It was fun to use some of those little scraps. Sometimes you just have to!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
All signs point to a GREAT card my friend.
ReplyDeleteLOVE when a happy accident happens.
TFS!
You really got the message when those pieces fell out of the package. Don't you love it when things just "fall" together?
