The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Pretty Flowers" embossing folder. I glued this to the front of the card. I like to use glue because with tape you might not get enough hold with all the gaps from the texture. Glue doesn't matter. Once it sets, it's on there!
Next I cut a 1" x 4" Basic White strip. Then I cut a 3/4" x 4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Wonderful World" 12" x 12" package. I glued the layered strip to the front of the card, centering it as much as I could.
The larger floral piece is from the same package of DSP and it was cut at 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" and the Basic White layer behind it was cut at 2-3/4" x 3-3/4". I taped the two layers together. I added Dimensionals to the back and centered it on the front of the card.
Then the words piece was added. The words are from the "Artistically Inked" set and were stamped using Sweet Sorbet ink. I die cut it using the stitched ribbon die from the "Stylish Shapes" die set. I stamped the words off to the right so I had room on the left for the flower. Edited: the words are from the "Art Gallery" set, not "Artistically Inked".
That flower was die cut using the second smallest stitched circle die from the same "Stylish Shapes" die set. The DSP flower came from the "Wonderful World" package. Dimensionals were added to the back of the circle and it was set in place on the front of the card. And the card was done.
Isn't it pretty? I do like it done this way. But don't let this stop you from doing the bendy card with the bellyband.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda
This is one of your many cards that I will be casing! It's beautiful! My stamp set and dsp was ordered last week and is on the way to me. I couldn't resist!

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.
Very pretty card! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI believe your sentiment, though, came from Art Gallery, not Artistically Inked! :)
Thank you for pointing this out to me "Unknown". The words are from the "Art Gallery" set, not "Artistically Inked".
ReplyDeleteI bought this DSP when it was a sale-a-bration gift with purchase. I hadn’t used it until now!! Very cute card. Thanks for sharing ♥️
