The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Night of Navy card stock for the layer.
For the top layer I cut a 3-7/8" x 3" piece of the DSP. I cut it at 3" so I could get four cards from one strip. I only got three because I measured wrong on one. UGH!!! Then I took a 3-7/8" x 3" piece of Basic White card stock and cut the bottom with one of the "Basic Borders" dies. I glued it to the DSP but made sure the piece didn't cover up much of the upper part of the DSP. I knew I'd have to trim the top but I wanted the piece long enough to just cover the DSP. After trimming the piece, it measured 3-7/8" x 5-1/8".
Next I stamped the "thanks" from the "Artistically Inked" set using Night of Navy ink. Then I taped this piece to the front of the card.
I took my Night of Navy Blends pen and colored the pearls. I let them sit for a minute and then set them in place on the front of the card. And that was it the card was done.
If I were to make more, I would give that scallopy edge a bit of Night of Navy with a sponge or blending brush. Unfortunately I put all three of the cards together at the same time so they all have the same blah look there. But this is how we learn, right? LOL
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's thank you card,
Wanda
