The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Poppy Parade. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White for the inside and I set it aside for later. I used to tape them in right away but if I ruined the front then I had to deal with the inside. So now if I ruin the front I can trim it down and use it on a Basic White layer and no one will be the wiser!!! I cut two strips of the dotted DSP at1" x 5-1/4" And I cut two Garden Green strips at 1/2" x 5-1/4". The Basic White focal piece was cut at 3" x 5-1/4".
I took my Pear Pizzazz marker and flicked on some splatter over the Basic White piece.
Next I die cut two images from the "Santa Express" DSP package. I added Dimensionals to the back. Then I set them on top of the focal piece for placement so I could see where the words would go.
The words are from the "Santa Delivery" set and were stamped using Poppy Parade ink. Once the words were stamped I taped the Garden Green strips to the top and bottom edge, leaving about 1/4" showing.
I taped the dotted strips to the front of the card. One on the upper part and one on the lower. Then I taped the focal piece with the Garden Green strips attached to the front of the card.
The die cut images were set in place on the front of the card and the Basic White piece was added to the inside and the card was done.
This was a fun card to make. I like how festive it looks. The bright cheery colors of Christmas!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
