The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Basic White card stock for the focal piece.
A 4-1/4" x 3-1/2" piece of scrap paper was cut for a template for the lines drawn on the card. I marked the top of the card 1" from the left edge and the bottom marked at 1" from the right edge. This is so I know where to start and stop drawing the line. I took this piece and lined it up on the left and bottom of the focal piece. Then I drew my line from the 1" mark across the top to the 1" mark on the side. I tried to do it all in one motion because if you stop you can get a funny looking little dot on your line.
I die cut the flower and the stem from the "Awash in Beauty" 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) package. I added Dimensionals to the back of the flower and I set it on top of the focal piece but didn't stick it in place. I needed to see where my words would be going.
The words are from the "Happiness Abounds" set and were stamped using black Memento ink.
Now I was ready to affix the flower to the focal piece.
Dimensionals were added to the focal piece and it was affixed to the card base.
I had some black enamel dots left from a stamping kit so I added a few of them to the front of the card and the card was done.
This was a very fun, quick, and super easy card to make!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
