The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Starry Sky card stock. This is such a pretty color. The card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.
I cut two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Basic White card stock. One piece was taped to the inside and the other was for the front. I took the front piece and the fun die from the "Happiness Abounds" bundle. It is an interesting die. It cuts out some parts and them just mostly cuts others. You could pull them up a bit so they curl a little. I just left them, there was too many to do that to. I taped this piece to the front of the card base.
Next I die cut the two flowers and the leaves. The one leaf was a double leaf that was cut in half. The flowers were set in place with Dimensionals and the leaves were slipped under them.
The words are from the "Lovely & Lasting" set and were stamped using Starry Sky ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I used the "Double Oval" punch on the words and on the Starry Sky layer. It's a fun sort of scallopy layer. I taped the layers together and set them in place using Dimensionals. And the card was done!
This was a very fun, quick, and easy card to make. I didn't add any embellishments, I thought with all of the openings on it, it didn't need anything else.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
Your flowers are BEAUTIFUL.
ReplyDeleteAnd LOVE how the background dies has little cut-outs on it.
