Again, I'm working with the supplies I have on hand.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Fresh Freesia card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Basic White card stock. One for the outside and one for the inside.
I cut a 3-7/8"x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock that I textured using the "Pretty Flowers" embossing folder. I glued that piece to the other Basic White piece and then I taped it to the front of the card base. I also taped the inside piece down so when I finished the front the entire card would be finished.
I die cut the flowers and leaves from the "Hues of Happiness" DSP. I set the flowers in place using Dimensionals. I didn't press them down because I need to slip the leaves under and I don't want to have a Dimensional in my way. I added a little bit of glue to the leaves and slipped them under the flowers. For the flowers, I had started with the large one on top, then the smaller one on the left, then the larger one towards the middle and the smaller one on the bottom.
The words are from the "Happiness Abounds" set and were stamped on a 1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock using black Memento ink. I snipped the ends to look like ribbons. I set the words in place using Dimensionals.
I had some enamel dots that I have no idea where they came from. I do know that they are not from Stampin' Up and if I had to guess, I'd say maybe the Dollar Tree. But they matched my card and it was all I had, so I used them. And the card was done.
This was a very fun card to make though I still have mixed emotions about using so many flowers for one card. And the more I look at the card, the more I like it!!!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
