The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Balmy Blue card stock and taped it to the front of the card. Then I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder. I glued that piece on top of the Balmy Blue piece.
Then I die cut the scalloped rectangle from the "Color & Contour" bundle using Basic White card stock. The words are from the "Art Gallery" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I had just added ink to my pad and it was a bit too juicy. I should have inked it the night before but I forgot! Or I could have just used less ink. But it is what it is! Anyway, I taped the scalloped piece to a piece of Balmy Blue card stock that measured 2-5/8" x 3-15/16". I set this piece in place using Dimensionals.
I die cut the flowers from the "Awash in Beauty" Designer Series Paper (DSP). There's SO many fun flowers on a sheet and so many great matching dies!!! I taped the blue piece down first and then the peach colored one. The blush piece was taped next and the pink flower was set in place using Dimensionals. I added some tape to the leaves and slipped them in behind the flowers and the card was done.
This was a very fun card to make. I LOVE all the flowers and the colors, plus it's a fun layout!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
