Lovely & Lasting, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

The new stuff arrived!!!  So I started out simple.  I need to look at my sets and give them some thought before I really dig in. So here's how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 5" x 2" piece of Polished Pink card stock. Then I cut a 4-7/8" x 1-7/8" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Awash in Beauty" 12" x 12" package. This package has some really beautiful sheets in it and I'm SO looking forward to having fun with them!  I taped the DSP to the card stock strip and then I taped that to the front of the card base about 1/4" from the top, fold, and bottom.

The words are from the "Lovely & Lasting" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. The frame around it is from the same set and was stamped using Cherry Cobbler ink.  Though I think I should have used Lovely Lipstick ink so it would blend in better. Anyway, I punched the words with the matching punch and set them in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.  The set comes with other words that I look forward to using too.  And all of them fit inside that frame!!  How fun is that going to be?

This was a super simple, quick, and easy card to make.
