The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a piece of Night of Navy at 4" x 5-1/4". This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I taped this piece to the front of the card.
Next I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of DSP and taped it to the Night of Navy piece.
The top Basic White piece was die cut using the "Basic Borders" dies. I offset it on purpose. I didn't want it centered because I thought it would look like an envelope flap and that wasn't the look I was going for. Before taping it to the upper part of the DSP piece, I stamped the words from the "Lovely & Lasting" set using Night of Navy ink.
The larger Night of Navy flower is from the "Hues of Happiness" DSP package. I used the die from the "Happiness Abounds" bundle. I added Dimensionals to the back and set it on top of the card. I didn't press down yet, I needed to add the leaves, which I die cut too. I added a little bit of glue behind the leaves and slipped them under the flower. I'm not sure if the Dimensional is on the leaf or not but it doesn't matter because the leaf is glued down. And that was it.
This was a very fun card to make. I love being able to die cut flowers and leaves, it makes for an even quicker card. Plus no coloring!! I like this layout and I like it that this card is a versatile one, it can be used for a number of occasions.
Thank you SO much for stopping by to see today's "thinking of you" card,
Wanda
